The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is a one-night snapshot of homelessness conducted annually as part of a nationwide effort. It is also a community-wide event, bringing together volunteers each year to help gather critical information. In our region, the data collected contributes to the national report to HUD and our local State of Homelessness report, guiding planning, funding decisions, and strategies that move us closer to making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.
Close to Home offers housing assistance programs that help people experiencing homelessness move into stable housing and maintain it long term. Through targeted support and community partnerships, these programs connect households to the housing supports they need to thrive.
